Club Nintendo is offering a special prize for those planning to download any of the following games from the Nintendo eShop (release dates in parenthesis):

Club Nintendo members who download and register any of these games by January 6th, 2013 will get a download code for Donkey Kong: Original Edition via email. The original edition features content that has never been released in the US. Check out the link above if you need further instructions.

That sounds pretty interesting; it just gives me another reason to get Paper Mario: Sticker Star (well if I'm downloading it).

I'd go for that but the vastly superior Gameboy Donkey Kong is already being sold on the eShop.

Why do I feel like Nintendo is being cryptic about the "unreleased content?" How many extras have not seen the light of day?

Are there even that many...?

Do you think they just make that stuff up as they go along; like they made it recently to say there was unrealesed content. Because that wouldn't be lying...

"Extra content" could mean 1 extra level or 1000 extra levels.

I never implied they were making up the content, just that it could be extremely lacking and not worth the pre order if it's disappointing.

I read on Nintendo's website for it that it's the original version and has never been released outside of Japan!

Quick question: If I did not buy Paper Mario Sticker Star from the eShop but at a retailer, would I still be eligible if I provide my PIN code in the box?
