I'm thinking about getting a 3DS latter on today if I have enough money after trading in some games and my old DS and was wondering about what games to get for it I'm planning on getting the Legend of Zelda OoT but was wondering what other games to possibly get.

If you get a pre-paid 3DS gift card for the eShop, I can suggest Pushmo, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX, and Colors! 3D. As far as retail games go, the 3DS has great software diversity, despite lacking severely in the RPG and strategy genre. Super Mario 3D Land stands as my favourite 3DS game so far, and Mario's other original outing, Mario Kart 7, shows off Nintendo's best online abilities. Kid Icarus: Uprising also deserves you time if your into games with incredible depth. Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D is quite amazing, especially if you haven't played the original. In fact, MGS 3D's use of 3D is one of the best on the system.

I may have suggested a bit too many to buy on the first day, but if you find the games on sale or find the money to pay for them, they're all worth it. Also, out of curiosity, what colour are you planning to buy?

Kind of depends on what games you are in to. If your into fighting games, Dead or Alive or Tekken is a good choice. Racing games, you can't go wrong with Mario Kart 7. If you happen to cross Tales of the Abyss I would pick that one up as well. Pretty fun game, and from what I hear it is kind of rare to find.

So far my favorite game on the 3DS has actually been Resident Evil Revelations. The story is pretty good, but the online Raid mode is what makes it for me. The game looks great and it plays great. However, I do highly recommend the Circle Pad Pro if you want to play this game...

Of course, I would just pick up a few to get you going. In June you got Heros of Ruin coming out. It would be cool if four of us from Nintendo Land could put together a group to all go dungeon crawling together. The game even has online voice chat.

I would like to suggest you getting Kid Icarus: Uprising first. Then I'd recommend Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land as alternatives. They're all pretty great games, and if your looking for great IP's then Kid Icarus is a great choice. If you don't have alot of money to spend then I would not recommend OOT3D or Star Fox for the time being.

I will have to try Kid Icarus: Uprising. I was always interested in it but if you think it's better than MK7 and SM3DL I will definitely want to try it...
